Public Speaking Programs

Public Speaking

We are here to help you speak in front of a large crowd. It takes time and patience. We provide the safe space for your child to speak, make mistakes and learn from these mistakes.

Leadership Skills

We follow the Toastmasters leadership programs. Your child will get a chance to pick up leadership skills by playing a different role each week and mentoring new members as needed.

Creative Activities

Each child has an opportunity to come up with a creative activity and engage the entire team at the meeting. This includes “Slugfest” – our fun Debate and other creative games.

Plastikeer’s, Inc. has sponsored 2 Toastmaster’s Gavel Club Groups for children and the TED-Ed Student Talks Program.

Gavel Club
Group 1

This Group generally covers ages 7 through 13. This is the best time for a child to pick up the basics of public speaking and work with parents to come up with good speech material. The focus is on Training and Mentoring.

This is the group that excels in speech and ideas. This is your time to tryout for your school speech team and use our group to practice. You will have chances to be with friends and network to make new friends.

Toastmasters for Adults

If you are an adult looking for a place to improve your speaking skills, we meet every week at 5:00 pm on Tuesdays. Check us out at Brunswick County Toastmasters Online We have a strong mentorship program on Saturdays at 9:00 am cst.

Social Awareness & Community Involvement

Ours is a lot more than just Toastmasters clubs. We are community and environment driven. We strive for social, economic and environmental changes. We strive to have a better world for our youth.

Promoting Tree Cover

Our Tree cover programs include donations to the National tree Foundation, tree planting and protection projects and educating the community on the value of trees.

Programs include Community Cleanup, Plastic Bag collection and recycling and lobbying to make Naperville implement a ban on Single use plastics.

Promoting Education

Our programs include sponsoring a private school in Africa, setting up Public Speaking Training for a School in India and identifying creative ways to provide free education.
